The Eastern Nagas in Nagaland comprise of six major tribes of Nagaland.They are:Chang,Khiamniungan,Konyak,Phom,Sangtam and Yimchunger,inhabiting Kiphire,Longleng,Mon and Tuensang districts.The festivals of Chang,Khiamniungan,Konyak,Phom,Sangtam and Yimchunger are Naknyulem (July 2nd week),Tsokum (Oct 1st week),Aoleang Monyu(April 1st week),Monyu( April 1st week),Amongmong(Sept 1st week) and Metumniu(Aug 2nd week)respectively.Some Eastern Nagas also resides in Myanmar,Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.

ENLU elects new team
Eastern Nagaland Legislatures’ Union (ENLU) has elected a new team of office bearers for the tenure 2013-2018. The election of the new ENPU office bearers was held at a meeting in Kohima March 15.
The new team of office bearers would be headed by M Noke Konyak as chairman. Others include S Pangyuh Phom vice-chairman; R Tohanba general secretary; P Paiwang Konyak assistant general secretary; CL John finance secretary and C Kipili Sangtam treasurer.
The advisory board comprises of CM Chang as convenor with P Longon, Imtilemba Sangtam, Kejong Chang and Pohwang Konyak as members.
