Be prepared for disaster, says Kiphire DC

National Disaster Rescue Force (NDRF) 1st battalion demonstrated disaster management to citizens, NGO’s, civil societies, ward chairmen ,GBs DBs and officers at the helipad ground on November 14 in the presence of deputy commissioner Kiphire,  Kesonyu Yhome IAS on the third day of its demonstration to schools and villages in the district.

Giving the key note address, the DC said that disaster may be manmade or natural but one should be prepared for it at any time. 

He also added that seismically Nagaland is placed in zone five of the highly seismic zone however people are least prepared and therefore asked the members present to be aware of it. 

He also expressed gratitude to NDRF for demonstrating its preparedness on disaster. SDO (C) Lankonsen Tsanglo who chaired the programme welcomed the gathering and gave a brief account on the program. 

NDRF demonstrated on disaster management equipments to the gathering and latter they also demonstrated how to go for operation in case of disaster.
