A new Tata sumo ambulance donated by legislators of Longleng district from LAPD 2011-12 common pool through the initiative of Pangnyuh Phom, parliamentary secretary rural development and Dako Phom, parliamentary transport & communication was formally handed over to Y.B. Angam, honorary secretary, Longleng district branch, IRCSN by state governor Nikhil Kumar who is also the President of Indian Red Cross Society, Nagaland in a simple ceremony held at Raj Bhavan on February 4.

After handing over the ambulance, a dedicatory prayer was pronounced by Rev. Dr. Anjo Keikung, general secretary NBCC for the service of the needy.
The function was attended by state managing committee members IRCSN and a host of NBCC executive secretaries.
General Secretary Zakie Kire expressed hope legislature of Wokha District, Noklak Sub Division and Member of Parliament Lok Sabha will also make the Ambulance services available in their respective area in a very short time as assured during the last Annual General Ceremonial function of IRCSN held on June 22, last year.
